ActionMailer and Dreamhost

Hello,

I am running my RoR app on localhost and am trying to implement
ActionMailer. In my environment.rb config file, I am pointing to my
smtp server on Dreamhost:

ActionMailer::Base.delivery_method = :sendmail
ActionMailer::Base.server_settings = {
:address => ‘mail.domain.info’,
:port => 25,
:domain => ‘subdomain.domain.info’,
:user_name => ‘m5120507’,
:password => ‘password’,
:authentication => :login,
}

ActionMailer::Base.raise_delivery_errors = true
ActionMailer::Base.perform_deliveries = true
ActionMailer::Base.default_charset = ‘utf-8’

When looking at the log, I do see that the email is generated. Here is
the error message:

Errno::ENOENT in ProjectsController#create

No such file or directory - /usr/sbin/sendmail -i -t

Then you want

ActionMailer::Base.delivery_method = :smtp

“:sendmail” tells the mailer to use a local sendmail-compatible mailer.

This tells you there IS no local copy of sendmail.

Thanks for the response. Changing the delivery_method did fix the
problem. Unfortunately, in all the tutorials for setting up the
ActionMailer with Dreamhost, the delivery_method is :sendmail.
