Action Mailer

I have posted this before but, I couldn’t find it so please forgive me
for posting it again. But can someone make an app that sends Time.now to
user.email so I can learn how AM works and is there a way to send it
with a fake address meaning that I don’t have to put an accual SMTP
domain and/or user name & password?
