0.18.0 plan

Hi,

I’ll list 0.18.0 plan because 0.17.0 has been released.
If someone who is interested in them, please help us.

High priority:

  • GIO support
    • -> deprecate GnomeVFS
  • GLib 2.18 support
  • GTK+ 2.14 support
  • Pango 1.20 support

Medium priority:

  • Ruby 1.9.1 support
  • GStreamer 0.10.x support
  • GooCanvas support
    • -> deprecate GnomeCanvas and libart
  • GtkSourceView2 support
    • -> deprecate GtkSourceView

Low priority:

  • improve release script (Rakefile)

    • support uploading, generating announcement, announcing
      to related sites (SF.net, RAA, …), …

  • integrate documentation between in Subversion repository
    and on Web.

  • introduce auto-build system

    • continually build and test check is needed on some
      different GTK+/Ruby version environments to release
      easily.

  • GObject-introspection support?

Hi,

0.18.0 was released because 0.17.0 has memory leak bugs. We
will use 0.18.0 plan as 0.19.0 plan because we complete just
one task…:

  • improve release script (Rakefile)
    • support uploading, generating announcement, announcing
      to related sites (SF.net, RAA, …), …

We need people who help us continuously.
