New user --> confusion

I’m a little confused about how to use ruby on rails on mac. I’ve
downloaded locomotive, but can’t make heads or tails of it. Can
someone give me a quick breakdown?

Try this instead:

It’s a little more work up front, but I found it a better solution
than Locomotive in the long run.
