Newbie Questions: dispatch.rb and script-folder?

Hi,

Here are some newbie questions I’ve been wondering about:

  1. What do the dispatch.* files do? I plan on using mongrel, do I need
    the dispatch-files? Are they supposed to be downloadable for users
    accessing my site?

  2. I’m using some utility shell scripts for my application and want
    them somewhere in my application. Where is the best place to put such
    stuff? Is the script-folder a good place or is that a bad idea?
