Forum: Ruby on Rails Way to execute a task/method every X minutes

Hi all,

Is there a way to execute a task/method (from a model/lib, etc) every X
minutes without having any dependency to *unix cron, rails cron,
backgroungDrb, etc? If so, could you give me a sample or point me where
I can find fore info about it?
