RE: B input on BasicRX not working

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to receive a signal sent
in to the “RX-B” input of a BasicRX board, as opposed to the “RXB” slot
of the USRP (gotta love the completely clear and unambiguous labeling).

If that is the case, then to get input from the B side you need to use
A:1 as the source (if the BasicRX is plugged in to RXA) and B:1 if it is
plugged in to RXB.

Where, might you ask, is this and other things like it documented? As
near as I can tell, it isn’t. On about the third time that I asked the
same question someone on this board finally let me in on the secret.

We’ve run into a problem with the “B” input on the Basic RX board with
a
USRP. Specifically, a test tone running into the “A” input shows up
fine
in the fft application, as well as in a captured file. However, a test
tone running into the “B” input doesn’t have any power in the FFT or
in

I share your sentiment about the labeling.

Perhaps someone on the list (you?) would like to start by documenting
the typical command line options somewhere in the wiki?

Like the rest of life, the reality of free software projects is that
nothing gets done unless somebody does it. Said another way, it’s a
volunteer community effort. Since you care, and now have the
relevant answers at hand, perhaps you could contribute 10 or 15
minutes of effort to the wiki?
