Software Engineer III

San Jose, California and RTP, North Carolina

Participate in a team to design a web service/portal in the area of
content recommendation and social networking. Software Development:
design the overall software architecture and implement the services
using web 2.0 tools and open source technology. UI Development: create
and implement visually appealing dynamic web pages for optimal user
interactions. Rapid prototyping: ability to create and deploy services
rapidly and get users feedback. Excellent verbal and communication
skills. Strong teamwork, willingness to contribute to both large,
complex projects, and smaller tasks as required. Flexible and adaptable
to customer requirements. Great attitude, strong work ethic, self
management skills, creative, and detail oriented sense of craftsmanship.
Strong background in software development methodologies, software
development/project life cycle, and revision control system. Must have
developed and deployed a web service/portal. Strong understanding of
server side web frameworks, middleware, authentication and
authorization. Knowledge of session management, XML web services, and
agile development methodologies desired. Experience in Object Oriented
design principles, Java/J2EE/Servlets, HTML/XHTML /CSS,
XML/JavaScript/DOM, MVC Architecture, PHP/Python/Perl or similar
scripting languages, database design/administration. Experience working
on Unix/Linux systems. Experience in installing, integrating tools on
shared environments. Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX,
Ruby on Rails, etc. is a strong plus.

Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 3-4 years of related
experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 4-7+ yrs related experience. 762681
