but have launched it anyway because it was just about finished.

My second project is BenPortal. It's just another portal, but I designed
it for my own use after being annoyed with Google's personalized

Rather than having big XML widget definitions, you can create widgets
using an RSS feed, raw HTML, or a URL that renders HTML fragments. If
you have the ability to host an application somewhere you can create
some pretty useful widgets without doing anything special. You can also
use it to display RSS and show images like weather maps, just by
providing URLs.
