How to install RTL-SDR driver in debian jessie

Hello

I installed GNURadio in the Hummingboard which has debian jessie OS. But
the
system cannot detect RTL-SDR. When I type command lsusb, it show Realtek
Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T.
when I type lsmod, nothing show up. And when I run gnuradio companion,
no
signal show up in GUI interface. gnuradio companion gives me “Trying to
fill
up 1 missing channel with null source”. This means the RTL-SDR is not
pumping anything into the board. I asked my professor, he said this is a
driver issue. but he does not have time to help me. I tried installing
librtlsdr-dev and rtl-sdr package of debian jessie, RTL-SDR still does
not
work. Is there any one know how to install RTL-SDR driver in debian
jessie
or solve this kind of issue? Thank you a lot!

Shaun

Have you tried the PyBOMBS method of installing the rtl-sdr, gr-osmosdr,
and gnuradio? It’s likely the problem is related to the udev rules.
