New_haven.rb meeting tonight!

The New Haven Rubyists monthly meeting is tonight.

==Location / Time==

6:30 → 9:00, Innovation Software Group [0],
North Haven, CT

==Description==

We will start off with an open discussion on blocks/procs/lambdas
focusing on Q&A for nubys.

Afterwards, we’ll be reviewing the code of David P.'s Sitemap
project[1] and then splitting up into teams to write up a
comprehensive test suite. Afterwards, we’ll refactor the software as a
group, combining our code at the end of the night. This will provide
opportunities to apply formal design patterns as well as discover
common code smells that can be refactored to more idiomatic ruby.

We’ll be using the SVN on rubyforge[2], incase people are interested
in the before and after.

We’ll also have the channel #new_haven.rb setup on Freenode for those
who want to drop in and say hello, and perhaps make some suggestions
about the code.
