The 'failed to catch: (interrupt)' problem

I’m experiencing problems with vanilla Typo and a vanilla toy example,
both
on a Mandriva Linux and a FreeBSD. I get the following error:
[07/Mar/2006:09:05:25 :: 79829] Dispatcher failed to catch: (Interrupt)
/usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/fcgi.rb:597:in each' /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/fcgi.rb:597:ineach_cgi’
/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rails-1.0.0/lib/fcgi_handler.rb:52:in
process!' /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rails-1.0.0/lib/fcgi_handler.rb:22:inprocess!’
/home/bbraem/cookbook/public/dispatch.fcgi:26
killed by this error

How can I solve this problem? My weblog is down and the production
systems
where I am considering Rails do not solve this either. I even got the
problem when installing the Typo port from FreeBSD…
Is there a problem with FastCGI?
With the FastCGI gem?
With Rails?
If you need strace output or some version information I’ll give it to
you,
if this can be resolved… I found some people with this problem on the
web, but none of them was able to solve it.
