Ruby on Rails is great! - It's so easy ... I can code while smashed and
still get work done!

I work from home. I code hard and get a lot done. Ruby on Rails makes my
productivity so much higher than I can actually be drunk ... and still
impress my boss!

It's great.

Do you have experiences like this? Do you code better while unable to
walk the line? Does the loosening affect free your thinking ... and
does Ruby on Rails make it so easy you can be smashed and meet a
deadline?

Tell me...

Maybe it's a good idea, though, to not write e-mails while smashed.

I do actually, and it feels funny (funny-strange, not funny-ahah)

I've been a regular 7/8-hour-sleep kind of guy my whole life, except for
the long nights of coding that would leave me exhausted the day after,
but since I started this Rails project 2 weeks ago, I'm on my 2nd 3-hour
night in a row, and it happened twice in 2 weeks. And when I force
myself to leave my desk, my body is tired but my brain is so awake I
take my PowerBook in my bed to read this list and the dozens of Rails
related blogs I track for another 30-45 minutes. Three hours later, I
get up.

I'm under no stress, except for the hard-to-repress "I'll just add one
more feature, it's so easy with Rails" urge.

This morning, I seriously considered going to my G.P., to see if nothing
is wrong with me. Your message made me feel better, less alone. I don't
need to see my doctor, I need to write more code.
Sorry but I must leave you now: there is one more feature I could code
before going eating...

Alain
