Hi, I am looking for Ruby libraries for performing scientific tasks. My
Python developer friends told they use SciPy & NumPy for scientific
tasks execution.

Does Ruby have libraries for scientific purpose?

Hi,

> Does Ruby have libraries for scientific purpose?

Maybe, these:
* http://rubygems.org/gems/rb-gsl
* If you are on Windows:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/rubyins...
* http://rubygems.org/gems/narray (AFAIK, rb-gsl includes Narray)

I didn't use these myself, but it sounds usefull:
* http://tensor.heliohost.org/rtensor/doc/
* https://github.com/princelab (They had a Narray-Tutorial, but seems to
be omitted)
