Forum: Inkscape Ungroup to text blcks

I have only been using Inkscape for a short while, but noticed a

If one has a PDF page with just text produced by LaTeX, then imports
this into Inkscape, the text is one huge block, which ungroup does not
touch. Is there a solution to this problem? Not all PDF files are like

I have two responses, one more general than the other, and neither may
what you are looking for.

Generally, when one has an object with multiple components, rather than
multiple objects in a group, ungroup will not work but "Break Apart" in
"Path" menu (may first have to use "Object to Path" at the top of the
menu) sometimes does the trick.

More specific to your query, if you have access to the LaTeX the PDF was
generated from, there are several ways of varying niceness to use it in
context of Inkscape:
