I’ve just tried to build the nightly snapshot with GCC 4.0.2 on
solaris2.9. The built in tests passed but there were lots of
warnings.

Note to those reading the archive: this file will vanish, at least
when 1.8.4 final comes out. Since it is generated from a script
(which it contains) it may well be replaced before then.
If there’s a more useful way to package the information, please let
