OSS Web Frameworks Action Day Vienna

Heya,

The Austrian Computer Society holds a one-afternoon presentation
on Open source web development frameworks on
November 29 in Vienna, Austria.

All presentations will be in German (but the presentation slides
will probably be available in English).

Please see the following link for more information (in German):
http://www.ocg.at/ueber-uns/arbeitskreise/oss/aktionstage05.html

Participation is free (registration is required!).

I’ll do a talk on Ruby on Rails which will “compete” with some Java-
based
frameworks (Cocoon/JSF/Struts). Hopefully I can lure some Java
developers
to Rails

Cheers,
Thomas

Hi *,

I would like to extend the invitation - it would be great to meet you
there! I’ll be holding the talk on JSF, and it will be good to compare
how things work in the frameworks.

Even though I have already been lured by Rails and use both Rails and
JSF for everyday development now - JSF has its merits, and I’ll try to
point them out in this presentation.

regards,

Martin

Hi,

hope you get well soon.

Cheers,
Thomas

Thanks Thomas,

I’ll try too - fever is down already - and I’ll surely be fit for the
presentation

cheers,

Martin

Would you be interested in pointing out Sails (www.opensails.org)?
While not Rails, it is closer to it than those other three, by far.
