le cool is a cross-media publishing company that works in print, online

is looking to expand into mobile platforms. Its main product is a free,
weekly email magazine about remarkable events and places. Local editions
are
sent out to more than 250,000 subscribers in Amsterdam, Barcelona,
Istanbul,
Lisbon, London, Madrid. We’re spreading fast and smooth, like warm
butter on

We want someone to come join us at our offices in an old gothic palace
(no,
really) in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. Candidates must have 2+ years’
experience as a senior developer, and provide URLs of relevant work in
social software and communities.
We’ll help sort you out with a place to stay if needed, get you VIP

your

Job Description/Core Skills:
- 2+ years web technologies and OOP
- 1+ years Developing Ruby on Rails applications
- 1+ years. Testing, Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven
Development & User Acceptance Testing with Selenium - Linux sysadmin and deployment with svn & capistrano on Ubuntu
server
with Mongrel/Nginx or Apache/Passenger - Responsible for the structure, implementation, build, and
integration
of front-end and back-end web technologies - Accurately estimates technology development tasks and manages
multiple
deliverable simultaneously
Additional Skills desired:
- xHTML & basic css
- SQL and database design and optimisation with MySQL
- JavaScript: Prototype framework
- Amazon s3, geocoding, I18n applications preferably with gettext
- Basic knowledge of PHP to solve configuration problems with
e-commerce
site and CRM system - A working knowledge of Ad Serving technologies would be beneficial
- Languages: english
