firebug-lite (http://www.getfirebug.com/lite.html) let's you have a
javascript console in IE : you can look into variable, run js commands
on the current page, call functions, etc..  (no help for AJAX though).

It's used to investigate an IE problem in the 2nd half of the peepcode
screencast on javascript :
