I’ve done some more work on the core of radiant in the direction of
making it easier for extensions to override exactly the part of
functionality in the site map or page editor as desired (without
having to duplicate a ton of code)
I was going to submit it a diff onto my open ticket in Trac, but the
site appears to be down at the momment.

Please, let me know what you think. I’d really like to get these
changes incorporated into the core of radiant so that I can port my
page attributes extension properly
