Forum: Ruby on Rails Wanna add a bunch of forums to my rails site

Announcement (2017-05-07): is now read-only since I unfortunately do not have the time to support and maintain the forum any more. Please see and for other Rails- und Ruby-related community platforms.

hey all,
I want to integrate a bunch of forums to my rails site.
My site is about college communities and different business colleges
in Asia, so I would have different pages for each college. And I want
to add one forum for each of the colleges. So, could you please
suggest me steps?

Here is what I am looking for:
1. Either having seperate forums for each college or make them as
2. Moderation of posts in each of these forums
3. Using the same login as for my main rails community site.
4. Email support - sending emails for post replies, for watching posts
or entire forums, for announcements, etc.
5. RSS feed support
6. Logged-in user list .
7. Advance Search capability.
And a few other basic stuff.

I am new to Rails and its features.
I checked Beast as well...but it seems pretty bare minimum.
Please suggest how to go about this?

Will be a great help.
Thanks in advance!

To add, I'll be releasing savage beast - an 'enginfied' version of
Ricks' beast. It provides the ability to attach a forum to any model

I've been using is for a couple of months now - seems pretty solid.
No docs yet though.

If you're interested in an early release I can provide some svn
access in a couple of days.
