Has anyone figured out a way to set the default filter for a new
page, something like the default page parts. For some clients, this
would be very nice…

You could use the console to do something like:
Radiant::Config[“defaults.page.filter”]
And then modify the _parts.rhtml partial (or create an extension) to
select the config setting as the default value.
