# XDG v0.3.0 released

XDG 0.3.0 has been released.

XDG provides a module for supporting the XDG Base Directory Standard.  
See: [XDG Base Directory Specification](http://standards.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-0.6.html)

This release removes the xdg\_ prefix from the module-level method names.  
The instance methods retain the xdg\_ prefix. I will consider if they  
should also be removed for the next release.

### 0.3.0 / 2008-09-11

- Renamed module level methods without ‘xdg\_’ prefix.
- The xdg\_ versions still exist for backward compatibility.
