# Why can't I compile gr-cdma？

Hi everyone，  
I cloned the gr-cdma([GitHub - anastas/gr-cdma: a cdma physical layer for Gnuradio](https://github.com/anastas/gr-cdma)). But I can’t  
compile the code.

I followed the complie instructions.  
After I typed “make”, I got the following errors:

[47%] Generating doxygen xml for cdma\_swig\_doc docs  
/bin/sh: 1: cdma\_swig\_doc\_swig\_docs/Doxyfile: Permission denied  
make[2]: \*\*\* [swig/cdma\_swig\_doc\_swig\_docs/xml/index.xml] Error 126  
make[1]: \*\*\* [swig/CMakeFiles/cdma\_swig\_swig\_doc.dir/all] Error 2  
make: \*\*\* [all] Error 2

How can I fix the problem?

Hello Franklin,

this looks like you, at one point, worked as a different user on that  
directory (possibly root?).  
You should get a copy of the source code that your user has permissions  
to read.
