I would like to integrate the uploadify plugin with a standard rails
form. However I can’t figure out how to add a new field and have it get
submitted with the file upload. I added a name field into the form, but
the valued does not get submitted.

\<%
dialog\_file\_description = ‘Photos’
allowed\_extensions = [:jpg, :jpeg, :gif, :png]
max\_size = 20.megabyte
allow\_multiple\_files = true
url = photos\_path
photo\_field = ‘#photo\_photo’
%\>
\<%- session\_key\_name = ActionController::Base.session\_options[:key] -%\>
\<% content\_for :jstemplates do -%\>
\<%= javascript\_tag “window.\_token = ‘#{form\_authenticity\_token}’” %\>
\<%= javascript\_include\_tag “uploadify/swfobject” %\>
\<%= javascript\_include\_tag “uploadify/jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min” %\>

\<% end -%\>
\<% form\_for(:photo, :id =\> ‘photo\_upload’, :html =\> { :multipart =\>
true}) do |f| %\>
\<% if protect\_against\_forgery? -%\>
\<%= f.hidden\_field :authenticity\_token, :value =\> (u
form\_authenticity\_token) -%\>
\<% end -%\>
\<%= f.error\_messages %\>

Name:

 \<%= f.text\_field :name %\>

 \<%= f.file\_field :photo %\>

UploadCancel
\<% end %\>
