Hi.
I am using the tiny\_mce plugin for Rails in my Project. Its working
good in IE and Firefox. But its not displayed in Opera And Google
Chrome.

In my layout i initialize tiny\_mce scripts as

\<%= javascript\_include\_tiny\_mce\_if\_used %\>
\<%= tiny\_mce if using\_tiny\_mce? %\>

In my controller that uses tiny\_mce in its actions, i use as

uses\_tiny\_mce(:options =\> {:theme =\> ‘advanced’,
:browsers =\> %w{msie gecko},
:theme\_advanced\_toolbar\_location =\> “top”,
:theme\_advanced\_toolbar\_align =\> “left”,
:theme\_advanced\_resizing =\> true,
:theme\_advanced\_resize\_horizontal =\> false,
:paste\_auto\_cleanup\_on\_paste =\> true,
:theme\_advanced\_buttons1 =\> %w{formatselect fontselect fontsizeselect
bold italic underline strikethrough separator justifyleft justifycenter
justifyright indent outdent separator bullist numlist forecolor
backcolor separator link unlink image undo redo},
:theme\_advanced\_buttons2 =\> [],
:theme\_advanced\_buttons3 =\> [],
:plugins =\> %w{contextmenu paste}},
:only =\> [:new, :edit, :show, :index])

It replaces any text area in the form by the tiny\_mce editor. please
help in sorting this problem. I believe the part of code // :browsers =\>
=\> %w{msie gecko} // has the problem.

Thank you

Which version of the plugin are you using? I’m apart of the team that
maintains a version at [GitHub - kete/tiny\_mce: A Ruby on Rails plugin (pre-Rails 3.1) that allows easy implementation of the TinyMCE editor into your applications.](http://github.com/kete/tiny_mce), you might want
to
switch to using that.
Cheers,
Walter
