So this works from the command line:

script/plugin install git://github.com/rails/acts\_as\_tree.git

BUT this doesn’t work inside a template:

plugin “acts\_as\_tree”, :git=\>“git://github.com/rails/
acts\_as\_tree.git”, :submodule=\>true

The error I get is:

fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

I have nothing else in my template!

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Using rails 2.3.2

thanks 🙂

Slightly confused since I’ve noticed other templates using the same
call:

IE: plugin “acts\_as\_tree”, :git=\>“git://github.com/rails/
acts\_as\_tree.git”, :submodule=\>true

Frustrating… not sure if rails or my installation
