Has anyone developed a dependency management library akin to Rake’s,
but for use as a library --does not lie at the top-level and tie into
the command-line?

I tried my hand at it some time ago, but was never happy with the
results. Was wondering if any one else had done so.

dependency system that doesn’t lie at the top-level
