Try the acts\_as\_taggable\_on plugin/gem and the associtated tag\_cloud
helper.

Acts\_as\_taggable\_on at github:

> **[GitHub - mbleigh/acts-as-taggable-on: A tagging plugin for Rails applications...](https://github.com/mbleigh/acts-as-taggable-on/tree/master)**
>
> master

(sparse) documentation on the tag\_cloud helper:

I haven’t used this myself, so YMMV.

If you need any help with this, let me know. I am currently using
acts\_as\_taggable\_on here: [http://jibber.bobmartens.net](http://jibber.bobmartens.net) so I have a
little bit of experience.
