All,

I know there are 3 or 4 search plugins out there.

I’m trying to find one that will allow me to search associated fields.

My database content is pretty small, so efficiently is not so
critical. On the other hand I have ton of :belongs\_to type fields, so
I need something that works well with the Rails models.

Any recommendations?

== Example of what I need to work

Assume I have a :belongs\_to field1 in my model.

I want to search all my records for hits in the field1.name associated
field.

## Thanks Greg

This one does the job: [http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/](http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/)
active\_search

Thanks,

I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

For anyone coming along later, this is working great.
