I’ve looked into rubygems.rb and it tries to load this file ‘rubygems/defaults/operating\_system’, but the entire ‘rubygems/defaults’ directory is missing. There is only a file ‘defaults.rb’ I saw in [http://rubygems.rubyforge.org/rdoc/History\_txt.html](http://rubygems.rubyforge.org/rdoc/History_txt.html) that this is ‘required’ since rubygems 1.2.0… I’ve tryied reinstalling rubygems (with apt-get purge and install later) on ubuntu 9.10 and got no fix.
