Ruby On Rails <-> MediaWiki integration?

Has anybody heard of / done such a thing? I’ve got a mediawiki site set
up
and I would like to strap some rails database / ajax stuff on top of
it… I
understand that MW is PHP and Rails is Ruby… but… there just has
to be
a way.
