Hi Everyone, I am an IT recruiter with TEKsystems in New Orleans. I am working with a new client here that is looking for a Ruby on Rails developer that will also have many responsibilities of a project manager for a permanent position. This company is creating a website from scratch and they are looking for someone with 3-5 years of lead development experience in the Rails environment. This person will be 100% new development and will also be managing this project from start to finish. Some of the responsibilities include development on the Rails platform, site design & usability, creating schedules & deployment timelines, creating budget, communicating with customers & end-users, configuring and maintaining code repository (through Github for example), and configuring Heroku architecture. Personality will play a big factor as the team is very small. The client is also looking for someone who enjoys music as the website is centered on music, music videos, and concerts. This position does not allow for remote working or telecommuting. The candidate must work on-site. Pay is based on experience and there is also an attractive benefits package including a potential stake in the company and profit sharing.
