I’m looking at creating an application utilizing ROR and the Google Maps
API. I came across this book “Beginning Google Maps Applications with
Rails
and Ajax: From Novice to
Professional[http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1590597877/geo0f-20](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1590597877/geo0f-20)”.
Would this title be to far out of date to even be useful?

Cheers,
jason

The authors have a blog about the book and how useful it is with
Google maps API v3
under the title:
Two Years and Counting. Is Our Book Still Useful? ^^

You could still develop for API v2 - just the api won’t be updated (if
you do have a look at YM4R\_GM and YM4R\_Mapstraction)
