Lyle,

thanks for your reply.
I’ve now tried

p.recursive{|w|

# w.baseColor=STD\_BACK\_COLOR

next if w.kind\_of? TextField
next if w.backColor==HEADER\_COLOR
if /ComboBox/.match(w.type.to\_s)
w.baseColor=WHITE\_BACK\_COLOR
w.backColor=WHITE\_BACK\_COLOR
p ‘w.children’
p w.children
w.children.each{|x| x.textColor=STD\_BACK\_COLOR }

# w.textColor=STD\_BACK\_COLOR

else
w.backColor=STD\_BACK\_COLOR

# w.textColor=STD\_BACK\_COLOR

end
},

but I get
p w.children =
[#Fox::FXWindow:0x32be030, #Fox::FXWindow:0x32be000]

and the methods for these do not include a way of setting any color -
is it necessary to add one explicitly ? Another field just below the
Combobox
is a text field, and it has a white background color, just as it
should,
without any additional work from me.

Thank you,

Axel

That bug (for FXWindow#children only returning an array of FXWindow
instances) was fixed in 1.6.0 and will also be fixed in 1.4.7 when
it’s released.
