I just updated from Rails 1.2.0 to Rails 2.3.2 and none of the app
plugins seem to load. The server starts without any problems, but none
of the plugin code is available. Help!

That’s a big jump, I’m betting you’ll need to update the plugins
themselves, too.

I updated and re-installed the plugins, no go. After the upgrade, I was
getting errors trying to start Mongrel about method not found,
load\_plugins in the initializer, and Mongrel wouldn’t load. I moved the
code from below in initializer to replace load\_plugins as shown:
#load\_plugins
@plugin\_loader ||= configuration.plugin\_loader.new(self)
@plugin\_loader.load\_plugins

Mongrel still wouldn’t boot, so in the environemnt file I thought I
could load the plugins:
config.plugins = [“rfpdf”, “rfpdf”]
config.plugins = [“ziya”, “ziya”]
config.plugins = [“datetime\_toolbocks”, “datetime\_toolbocks”]
config.plugins = [“acts\_as\_attachment”, “acts\_as\_attachment”]
config.plugins = [“active\_merchant”, “active\_merchant”]
config.plugins = [“Linguistics-1.0.5”, “Linguistics-1.0.5”]

Now Mongrel boots, and runs just find and dandy, but when anything in
the app needs a plugin, well…

any advice would be greatly appreciated, my experience in the
configuration (real) world is obviously pretty limited.
