PDF and Charts?

I’m facing a problen while developing an app in rails…

How can I generate PDF files and Charts…

I think that maybe a solution would be to have a Tomat running and leave
the
task of generate PDF and create dinamyc charts to
Java with Jasper and JFreechart… but… I’m not sure how to acomplish
this.

Any ideas on how to use rails and java in the same app.???

I already see the principal library for this in rails but I think I need
more sofisticated charts.

Google Analytics uses Flex for charting.

If you don’t have Flash Player 9, you can get it here:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

Then check this out, fully customizable charts of any kind:
http://demo.quietlyscheming.com/ChartSampler/app.html

(app author didn’t want to create an express install feature)
