# Ngix - Vanish Not Working

Hi,

I have installed ‘Varnish’ cache along with Nginx; also configuration  
has  
been changed accordingly.  
But now i cannot access pages (could not cnnect to the host);  
Is there any settings that I have missed; please help.

OS:CentOS

# /etc/default/varnish

# DAEMON\_OPTS="-a :80 -T localhost:6082 -f /etc/varnish/default.vcl -S /etc/varnish/secret -s file,/var/lib/varnish/$INSTANCE/varnish\_storage.bin,1G

# /etc/varnish/default.vcl

# backend apache { .host = “127.0.0.1”; .port = “8080”; } acl purge { “localhost”; “127.0.0.1”; } sub vcl\_recv { … …

# /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf

server {  
listen 8080 default;

## SSL directives might go here

# … …

I had changed my ‘default.vcl’ to:

# /etc/varnish/default.vcl
