Multiple Applications Setup

Jay,

Hey, I’ll take a Diet Coke or Orange Juice any day! Anyway, don’t
know if the distance will get you any latency worth reporting but I
guess you can try it out. I don’t know of any VPS providers in the UK
and according to this article [1] it doesn’t seem easy to find. But
that blog also talks about a new provider [2] in the works with a nice
Rails stack but it seems a couple of weeks away for open enrollment.
And although it sounds really good who knows how good they will be out
of the gates. I guess it comes down to how fast you need all this and
how much of a budget you have to get things tested.

Hope it all goes well whichever way,

AEM

Hi Adrian

That [1] sounds good - I’ve got a contract sorted until mid-July so
after that I’m going to start work on this properly. If they can host it
for me that’d be great.

The host I was looking at previously [2] seem pretty keyed in but aren’t
rails focused at all, and compared to the prices you’ve quoted they are
pretty pricey (£15/month for 150MB).

I’ll have a look at Bright Box when they come out.

Cheers
Jay
