# MSIE doesn't work with format.html

Hey there …

This is part of restful\_authentication:

def access\_denied  
respond\_to do |format|  
format.html do  
store\_location  
redirect\_to :controller =\> “session”, :action =\> “new”  
end  
format.any do  
request\_http\_basic\_authentication ‘Web Password’  
end  
end  
end

the thing is, it uses http basic auth when using MSIE … It’s like  
MSIE doesn’t request HTML but ANY instead …

If I do this

def access\_denied  
redirect\_to :controller =\> “session”, :action =\> “new”  
end

It’s all fine …

Is it some kind of bug or something?
