# Lighttpd deployment issues

Hello all,

I am quite new to Rails. I’ve been programming in PHP most of the time,  
and have been playing around with Ruby on Rails for a week now.

I’m having some trouble configuring my lighttpd + fastcgi daemon to  
work on Fedora Core 5. I’ve been following  
[http://digitalmediaminute.com/howto/fc4rails/](http://digitalmediaminute.com/howto/fc4rails/) and everything seems to  
work perfectly.

I just can’t seem to get my site to work.

My lighttpd.conf is as follows : [Parked at Loopia](http://pastie.caboo.se/87463)

My public dir is at “/home/r/test/public”

The vhost in that .conf is a live example.

I hope someone can help me with this.

[http://ruby.frro.net](http://ruby.frro.net) (is the hostname of that server)

if you access [http://ruby.frro.net](http://ruby.frro.net) you’ll also notice that when you  
click “About the Rails environment”, you get a 404. No idea why.
