# Least connections and multi\_accept

Recently Ruslan, while replying to someone stated that the internal  
counters for the least connections load balancing algorithm ate _per  
worker_ and consequently unless there is a high load it might not add up  
that in fact the algorithm logic is “respected” while considering all  
workers. Is this still through if multi\_accept is off. Or this  
directive  
has no bearing on the least connection algorithm?

While multi\_accept might affect connection distribution between  
worker processes, it is otherwise unrelated.
