# Is jcode library supported in Ruby1.9.1?

hi ,  
is jcode supported in Ruby1.9.1 ?  
and if it dosen’t supported how we can specify the character encoding to  
uses in rb file ?

It was deprecated.  
You usually set the encoding at the top of your file, with a magic  
comment like:

# Encoding: UTF-8
