# Installation: How to install phpMyAdmin on Ubuntu

I am working on a virtual machine with Ubuntu. Please if someone know  
how to install it over here

“phpMyAdmin”? Blech. Why waste your time fooling with that? Learn  
to use the MySQL command line client – you’ll be _way_ better off in  
the long run.

And if you must, there are GUI desktop alternatives.

Terribly sorry I have to do it this way, but some people just ask for  
it.
