# Gr::block::add\_item\_tag not exposed to Python

Hello,

there is a reason why the gr::block::add\_item\_tag() method and other  
methods to operate on stream tags are not available from Python?

Should I send a patch to add them to the SWIG class definition?

They are, see e.g. gr-blocks/python/blocks/qa\_block\_gateway.py.

SWIG contortions make them hard to find… 🙂
