Dear all,

I am happy to announce that the second batch of selected projects for
SOCIS 2015 has been published.

The student application form will soon be open. It is time for everybody
to communicate as much as possible on this even in order to attract the
best students.

>
> ESA is seeking student software developers from across Europe to participate in its Summer of Code in Space. Winning applicants will be paid to develop innovative open-source software for space projects.

And in addition we created a new page that is accessible from the main
ESA site:

> **[SOCIS – The ESA Summer of Code in Space](https://www.esa.int/Enabling_Support/Space_Engineering_Technology/SOCIS_The_ESA_Summer_of_Code_in_Space)**
>
> What is it?SOCIS, the ESA Summer of Code in Space, is a programme that aims at promoting open-source space-related software to students, by letting them code new functionalities during the summer time. Since the creation of SOCIS in 2011, more than...

We are also in contact with a few possible sponsors who may help funding
more projects this year.

Kind regards,
Maxime
