Hi, I am a Newbie to Mac and Rails. I have a rails apps made using instantrails in windows, and have been trying to transfer it to a mac. I am using Leopard and installed mac ports and Xcode. I copied the folder from rails\_apps and added all the gems. Anything else I need to do? Any Ideas? Thank you! s.ross, I added the gem and it took care of some of the errors. But do you know what can I do about the rest? Looks to me like you might have a problem with the Rails version on the new box. If 1.2.2 and 2.1.0 were on Instant Rails, you might want to install 2.1.0 on the new box, make sure everything is working, then work towards updating your app to 2.2.2 or Edge after that. Just my recommendation. ---

I’m afraid you will have to tackle the errors one at a time. I just did an upgrade from 2.0.2 to 2.2.2 and there were a number of changes that caused problems. For the current one, comment this line out (remove when safe). It’s been removed from Rails 2.2.2: cache\_template\_extensions=true Also, remove the reference to config.breakpoint\_server You’re not just doing a platform switch, you’re doing a version upgrade, so allocate a bit of time to ironing out the differences. ---
