# File status about

Web site is the Python, going to some type of the file will be forwarded  
to the static files directory, the static directory should not return to  
404, but there is a problem, the trouble you help me see  
Web site configuration files:

```
    location ~* \.(php|php*|git*|htm|html|txt)$ {
                 root /web/www/static;
            }

```

curl -I [http://www.a.com/a.php](http://www.a.com/a.php)  
curl -I [http://www.a.com/i.html](http://www.a.com/i.html)

The result that come out: curl: (52) Empty reply from server  
why not 404?
