First you need to extract the favicon URL - I think that  
[Favicon - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon) is a good starting point for this -  
and then you need to actually download it, for example using the method  
described here: [http://snippets.dzone.com/posts/show/2469](http://snippets.dzone.com/posts/show/2469)
