# Error in map.connect

hi all,  
I wanna run my welcome controller after typing just  
[http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000) and for that i made route.rb file like  
ActionController::Routing::Routes.draw do |map|  
map.connect ‘’, :controller =\> “welcome”

# Allow downloading Web Service WSDL as a file with an extension

# instead of a file named ‘wsdl’

map.connect ‘:controller/service.wsdl’, :action =\> ‘wsdl’

# Install the default route as the lowest priority.

map.connect ‘:controller/:action/:id.:format’  
map.connect ‘:controller/:action/:id’  
end  
but when i typed [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000) it’s showing me the webrick  
server page.  
I made right changes or i have to made some other change .  
Please reply soon.
